I'm a journalist, Spanish-English translator and semi-professional bookworm who spends her days editing news articles and translations of news articles as news editor for citizen media site Global Voices. Previously, I worked as the Spain regional director for Vocativ and as a metro correspondent for The Boston Globe. I've freelanced book reviews for Kirkus Indie, news summaries for the now-defunct Inside news app, and infographic scripts for clients via Visually's marketplace. My first professional literary translation from Spanish into English was of an award-winning novelette for a science fiction and fantasy anthology. I hold bachelor's degrees in journalism and Hispanic language and literature from Boston University and a master's degree in translation from the Universidad Complutense.
